AGRITECHNICA 2025 wrapped up after seven days in Hanover, and the scale of the event was impossible to ignore. Queues were already out the door before day one even began, setting the tone for what became an exceptionally busy week. The show welcomed over 430,000 visitors and hosted 2,700 exhibitors from 52 countries, highlighting the growing global interest in precision agriculture and innovation.
The first three days were industry-focused, providing the perfect setting for detailed and high-quality conversations. Engineers, OEMs, dealers and growers were all engaged in targeted discussions that delivered valuable technical exchanges and practical problem-solving across the sector.
With reduced ticket prices in the latter half of the week, footfall increased significantly. This brought a fresh surge of interest and provided a clearer picture of wider market expectations and the broader demand landscape.
Throughout the week, the Farmscan AG and SmartAG Systems teams were fully engaged. We welcomed visitors from more than 27 countries, including the UK, Ukraine, Canada, Australia, and across Europe, North America and South America. They met with existing partners, guided visitors through product demonstrations, and explored new collaboration opportunities across the industry.

Product Highlights: Practical Demonstrations That Show Real Value
Visitors came looking for clarity and left with a deeper understanding of how our systems integrate with machinery, along with the practical features and performance benefits they offer.
The demonstrations with John, Callum and Martin proved popular throughout the week. Each session featured platforms that helped visitors visualise our solutions across seeding, spreading and spraying applications.
ISOBUS Range: Compatibility That Stood Out
ISOBUS demonstrations, especially around integration and compatibility, were consistently one of the busiest parts of the stand. As an international show drawing visitors from multiple countries and continents, AGRITECHNICA highlighted how differently farming operates around the world. Each market has its own key differences, and ISOBUS requirements can vary significantly, with some regions only now beginning to transition toward fully integrated systems.
This made compatibility discussions especially important. Many visitors wanted to understand how existing machinery could be updated to ISOBUS while keeping current equipment and workflows fully backwards compatible. The ISOPOD provides a fully integrated ISOBUS network while also supporting TC Basic job recording, TC Geo variable rate and TC SC section control in one setup.
Wireless Calibration Module WCM: Making Calibration Simple
The WCM attracted steady interest because it removes one of the most common frustrations in the field. Calibration often requires repeated trips between the cab and the machine, increasing both setup time and the likelihood of errors. Visitors immediately recognised how shifting the process to a phone saves time and improves accuracy, making wireless calibration one of the most practical upgrades showcased during the week.
Scale also varies greatly across global markets, with implement widths and product configurations differing significantly by region. For operators running larger or wider machines or equipment applying multiple products, the simplicity and time savings of WCM calibration become even more valuable. This was especially clear in conversations with international visitors from Canada, South America and the U.S., where machine sizes can make traditional calibration particularly time-consuming.
7000 Series: Versatility for OEMs and Farmers
The 7000 Series sparked strong interest from manufacturers looking for a flexible rate controller that can operate seeders, sprayers and spreaders from a single screen. As system integrators, our ability to write custom software was a major talking point. The 7000 Series is the ideal platform for supporting a wide range of applications, whether highly specific, niche requirements or more traditional arable setups.
The diversity of visitors throughout the week highlighted this demand. Many needed something slightly different from the standard offering, and we were able to show how the platform’s capabilities and flexible architecture allow us to integrate the functions they need.
Industry Trends Observed Across Hanover
A few clear patterns emerged as the week progressed. Compatibility and modularity were key themes in many conversations, particularly among OEMs seeking systems that can adapt as their equipment and operational needs change over time.
Integration across platforms was another major focus. There was strong interest in wireless solutions that connect seamlessly with mobile devices, tablets or farm management software.
Many discussions also centred around the need for intuitive systems that reduce operator workload. Simplicity for new users was a recurring topic, aligning closely with AGRITECHNICA 2025’s overarching theme of TouchSmart Farming. As machinery becomes more advanced, with increased electronic features and complexity, users are placing greater value on systems that offer straightforward workflows and ease of use in the field.
Seeding solutions were also a high priority for many attendees. There is growing interest in advanced control features as implements continue to scale up in size and accuracy demands rise. Visitors frequently raised topics such as downforce control, pneumatic air pressure management and variable fan speed. There was also strong emphasis on precise section control, particularly for wider and more complex seeding units.
These conversations made one thing clear. The market is shifting, and operators are now seeking more advanced, fully ISOBUS-compatible systems to meet their evolving requirements.
Relationships That Continue to Strengthen
AGRITECHNICA continues to be one of the best opportunities to reconnect with long-standing partners and discuss future developments. Customers travelled from around the world to see the latest updates and reinforce existing relationships.

Tech Farming – Ukraine
The team welcomed long-time customers from Ukraine, including representatives from Tech Farming. Their comment captured the partnership well: “Since 2020, we have been implementing and selling Farmscan AG products in Ukraine.” These conversations reflected a shared trust in practical technology that delivers consistent performance in the field year after year.
Stocks Ag – United Kingdom
The week also included productive time with the StocksAg team, who were exhibiting at the event as well. SmartAG Systems was pleased to support the products they are using, reinforcing the strong working relationship between both companies. As the Australian distributor for the full StocksAg applicator range, SmartAG Systems shares a natural alignment across markets, creating productive cross-country synergy.
New Projects: Looking Ahead to 2026 and Beyond
Two project conversations stood out across the week. Both showed how collaboration between OEMs and our engineering team results in custom agtech solutions that solve real market needs.
Stanhay: Precision Control for Multiline Vegetable Planters
John Chalmers, and Chris Fletcher from Stanhay, demonstrated the multiline vegetable planter project which places up to four lines of seed from a single row. Stanhay needed a compact and reliable method to drive and control up to twenty rows without adding bulk or creating complexity. Farmscan AG partnered with Stanhay to deliver a simple and effective control system. For growers who prefer a simple interface, the Jackal controller provided the same consistency with easier interface and fewer steps.
Traxxis: Accurate Liquid Placement
John also joined Richard Fletton from Traxxis to discuss the liquid placement project that shaped two years of development work. Traxxis needed a versatile control platform for a new set of innovative peristaltic pumps. The flexibility and modular design of our systems proved to be a perfect fit, with options ranging from the Jackal controller to full ISOBUS integration.
The outcome is a system based on peristaltic pumps that delivers reliable and consistent rates without adding unnecessary complexity to the cab. Richard’s summed up the partnership clearly: “We were looking for a company that could make custom adjustments.”
Industry Connections and Event Highlights
The week included productive meetings, introductions to potential dealers and many valuable discussions that will continue over the coming months. A proud moment for the team was when Callum Chalmers received Supplier of the Year recognition from Horizon Agriculture on behalf of Farmscan AG. The award reflected years of collaboration and commitment on both sides.

The conversations in Hanover provided clarity on what the industry expects next. More compatibility, more simplicity and more flexibility continue to shape the direction of future engineering.
